Bokhout & Prahl Orthodontists was founded in 1996 by Birgitta Bokhout DDS, PhD and Charlotte Prahl DDS, PhD. The clinic has since evolved into a centre of orthodontic excellence through years of experience as orthodontists, study, regular training, part-time academics, research and PhD. Structured consultation with dentists, oral surgeons, periodontists and implantologists is part of our work.

 

Our mission statement is to provide patients with a safe, friendly, caring, pain free environment and state of the art orthodontics, consistent with each patient’s individual needs and resources. In our clinic, emphasis is placed on detailed attention to each and every patient. 

 

In order to provide the patient with top referral care we only make use of the best appliances and materials. New effective, evidence based techniques are constantly being introduced after research and training. Part of our care is provided by our orthodontic team which consists of experienced and specially trained hygienists, dental prevention assistants, orthodontic assistants, receptionists and secretaries. Our Clinic has recently been renewed. One of the aims was to improve the arrangement and to totally renovate the clinic. The use of new high quality products and materials resulted in a completely new look. Our new sterilization room has been fully equipped in anticipation of future changes in the WIP guidelines (Dutch infection prevention protocol >>www.wip.nl)
Last October our office was successfully audited according to the HKZ certification procedures and we have attained the Dutch Orthodontic Society trade certicfication (VvO branchecertificaat).

With all these new changes and improvements we hope to welcome you as a client to our new clinic.
 

Our clinic is located in the centre of Amsterdam. It can easily be reached by public transportation. Tram 6, 7 and 10 have a stop approximately 100m from our clinic called Frederiksplein. If you take tram 4 please exit at stop Frederiksplein which is 100 meters from the clinic. The metro station Weesperplein is 5 minutes walk from the clinic. Public parking spaces are available in the vicinity of our clinic.
